Background

BETA consists of dedicated and politically active young Europeans who are in favour of the European integration. Thus, the association works as a tool towards this aim providing the opportunity to have their say and work together within a spirit of cooperation and collaboration. Our members gain experience, exchange ideas and views, debate and discuss upon several global issues, develop useful qualifications for their future careers, such as negotiation and leadership skills, sharpen their political consciousness and establish new contacts with people all around Europe and beyond.

Moreover, it gives them the opportunity to expand their knowledge towards the European Union and achieve a deep understanding of its aims and challenges. The multinational environment, multicultural diversity, making of life-long friends from all over Europe, leadership opportunities and global network are also some of the benefits that BETA offers.

Values

BETA believes in the fundamental principles and values, upon which the European communities are founded, such as peace, democracy, respect of human rights, unity in diversity, solidarity, multicultural dialogue, multiculturalism, safety, justice and the well-being of people.

Vision

BETA envisages a European Union for the Europeans, where its citizens set mutual targets and prospects for a better future and cooperate all together in order to fulfil their visions, ideas and ideals for Europe. Furthermore, it ideates a European Union where people work together towards the realization of the potential that the Union, as a transformative power, has for social and cultural progress.

Mobilizing young people

The impact BETA intends to have is to enable young Europeans, who dare to think “European” become “change agents” by getting together and taking action in order to make Europe a better place to live, work and dream. In order to fulfil this goal, BETA strives to establish sustainable administration structures that ensure the successful implementation of the Model European Union (MEU) event and other following events.

Successful implementation

BETA proves that people of different countries, cultures and backgrounds, engaged in politics or not, can work together to make such a large event as the MEU in Strasbourg, France, possible.
